An Intro to this blog

Pranaam,

Jainism is one of the most ancient and probably the only non- absolutist religion of the world. The Jain thought mostly concentrates on the potentiality of human soul to emancipate itself into divinity after shoring itself of all weaknesses of a human being, i.e. pride, jealously, fear, love, infatuation etc. Jains believe in the concept of ‘Tirthankar’, which means the ascension of man into “Godhood.”All places associated with the birth and other kalyanaks of tirthankaras; places associated with the attainment of moksha and keval gyan(omniscience) of acharayas and saints and places associated with the miracles to establish the dharma to sustain the faith of devotees are worshipped from time immemorials and devotees has adorned these places with the best examples of art and architecture.

With blessings of Almighty, Guru Bhagvants and well wishers, An attempt is being made to give brief details of the various Jain Tirth scattered all over India. Visit to a Tirth does have a positive impact on our life and thoughts and idea of creating this blog came just on completion of Jatra to Shri Sammed Sikharjee Tirth, Jharkhand. Missing my orkut community Shri Samet Sikharji Tirth and hope that it is moving and rocking with all other members around.

Basic idea behind this blog is that besides, a person also gets to know the different places, cultures and peoples, We get a chance to know our great history of the places and the great deeds and sacrifices made in the past by our ancestors.

If a reader desires to add/ supplement / comment the information’s about any Tirth, he/she is most welcomed to do so and can also send the details by e mail- samir.doshi.in@gmail.com

If by any mistake some wrong words are published, I apologise beforehand for the same.

Hoping to receive comments and assistance of you all to this great cause.

Jai Jinendra
